GTI SPINDLE OPTIMIZES MAKINO SPINDLE REPAIR CAPABILITIES
(Manchester, NH – June 1, 2006) GTI Spindle Technology announces its optimization of its Makino Spindle Test Run Station in Manchester, NH. This optimization better allows GTI Spindle to thoroughly mimic the conditions of the spindle once installed into the actual Makino Machine Tool itself.
Enhanced capabilities include:
- High Frequency, High Horsepower, Variable Frequency Drive with encoder feedback.
- Capable of running and testing both high speed and low speed motor windings.
- A duplicate of Makino’s oil-matic system designed and built by GTI Spindle’s engineering team which acts as a chiller, vacuum, oil delivery and oil recovery system. This is a filtered system and all functions can be run independently or simultaneously to assist in troubleshooting.
- Spindles are balanced on stand while interfaced with all spindle support systems.
- Currently capable of running Makino A series, J series, MC and MCB series Spindles.
The company, well known for machine tool spindle repair and maintenance programs, now has four (4) service facilities in the United States to meet customer demand.
