Acoustic Control Sensors are used to monitor acoustic emissions from your grinding equipment. By continuously monitoring sound waves, even the slightest variation in machine noise can be detected.
Tiny grains of abrasive in a grinding wheel coming in contact with a work piece or wheel dressing would be undetectable by the human ear, but are picked up readily by these sensors. This facilitates determination of precisely when first contact is made, resulting in higher grinding accuracy and efficiency, less machine wear.
Reduce Grinding Time and Wear ________________________
Dittel Acoustic Control Systems are beneficial to your operation is several ways:
Reduce “air grinding” time
Reduce dressing time
Increased crash control
Low cost
Easy installation
Reduced Wheel Wear
Dittel GAP-R GAP-reduce contact control unit measures structure-borne noise directly on the shaft of the grinding wheel (internal and external grinders) or dressing roller. The measuring signal is transferred contact-free to the electronic evaluator system. This unit may also be integrated into the Dittel Balancing System.
Two new Dittel Acoustic Control Systems are the GAP 3000 and The GAP 5000. Both are directly applicable to OD, ID and surface grinders. They are used to control “GAP” eliminate, change feed rate as required, initiate dress feed or continue dress, and act as crash prevention. The GAP 5000 also in corporates an automatic wheel balancer.
